Executive Summary
Interest rates were cut 25 basis points this month to stimulate investment activity
Construction Employment grew 0.7% from prior year and 0.3% from prior month outpacing employment growth from all industries.
Heavy Civil Construction and non-residential specialty construction has shown the fastest growth as Data Centers and Power Generation continue to be strong
Construction backlogs down 3.6% this month vs. last month and from last year
Infrastructure construction growing fastest
Current backlogs are 8.1 months of work
All Contractors have more people employed than at this time last year and there are few people left to hire
When asked what sales about sales expectations for the following year, 9% responded, "up big" and 48% "up small".
Only 21% expect next year to be lower than this year.
